Production safety and fire prevention are among Messer's top priorities. On July 14, Messer Yen Binh Thai Nguyen factory coordinated with the Police Department of Fire Prevention and Rescue (Fire Prevention and Rescue) to organize a fire prevention drill on an industrial scale.
As a chemical enterprise, Messer always emphasizes safety issues in production, especially fire prevention and safety issues. In order to raise the awareness of safety, fire prevention and fighting work for employees at Messer as well as in the Industrial Park, Messer Hai Phong Industrial Gas Co., Ltd - Yen Binh Thai Nguyen Branch has coordinated together with the Fire Prevention and Control Department, Thai Nguyen Provincial Police and grassroots Fire Prevention Teams to conduct fire prevention drills.
Attending and directing the rehearsal were Mr. Nguyen Trung Kien, Deputy Head of Fire Prevention and Control Department, Thai Nguyen Provincial Police; Comrades of the Chamber PCCC và CNCH, Công an tỉnh Thái Nguyên; đại diện Ban quản lý Khu công nghiệp Yên Bình – Thái Nguyên; các lực lượng PCCC các cơ sở tại Khu công nghiệp Yên Bình – Thái Nguyên. Về phí Messer, ông Anthony Grandpierre, Tổng giám đốc công ty đã đại diện tham dự cùng với ban lãnh đạo nhà máy Messer Yên Bình – Thái Nguyên và toàn thể cán bộ nhân viên tại nhà máy.
A hypothetical fire situation at the factory's gas storage facility, which is assumed to be caused by an electrical short and the fire is likely to spread to the document storage areas and staff bedrooms. The area of the fire is about 50 square meters. At the time of the hypothetical situation, there were 10 people working around the area where the fire occurred. After discovering the fire, the staff rang the fire alarm, and at the same time, the factory leader contacted the functional forces to deploy the initial fire fighting plans such as opening the emergency exit; move people and property to a safe place; use fire extinguishers; deploy fire hydrants…
After 15 minutes of deployment, the hypothetical fire was completely and thoroughly dealt with thanks to the coordination between the parties. The rehearsal was a great success.
